BEANS: Trading activity and movement for most varieties was generally
moderate. Demand remains good for most all varieties. Some wide price spreads
are being reported due to variation of quality within the varieties. Most
varieties were steady to 1.00 higher with many discussions underway about new
crop acres and pricing with growers.
Dealer: PINTO BEANS were steady to 1.00 higher. GREAT NORTHERN BEANS were
steady to 1.00 higher. LIGHT RED KIDNEY BEANS were mostly steady. DARK RED
KIDNEY BEANS were mostly steady. PINK BEANS had no recent comparison. SMALL
RED BEANS had no recent comparison. BLACK BEANS were mostly steady. PEA BEANS
were 1.00 to 2.00 lower. GARBANZOS were steady to firm.
